A Week in Golf | SUN DAY RED, Taylormade Files Tiger Woods Patent + Nick Dunlap Wins on the PGA Tour

Without any official confirmation, it appears all but confirmed that Tiger Woods will be wearing TaylorMade apparel when he makes his first start of the 2024 season. Last week, a patent for SUN DAY RED, accompanied by a logo that resembled a tiger in motion, was filed. Once leaked, it sent the golf world into utter mayhem. After weeks of speculation – will it be Greyson? Did we just see him carrying Travis Mathew clothing? Are TaylorMade about to break into the apparel space? – we got the answer, and it is safe to say opinions were very much divided.

It will be interesting to see what style of apparel they release as part of Tiger’s collection. Will it closely resemble what we saw from his Nike apparel, or will we see something more along the lines of the TaylorMade/Malbon drop we saw last year? Time will tell.

In other fashion news, FootJoy released three new colorways of the Premiere Series, as well as bringing us the popular ‘Field’ in a spiked model. The clay midsole against the white leather upper stands out as a potential favourite for when white shoes are wearable again in the UK.

Not golf fashion, but it wouldn’t be right not to honour Nick Dunlap at the end of this newsletter. A huge congratulations go out to him for becoming the first amateur in over 30 years to win on the PGA Tour. We will be seeing a lot more of him in the years to come!
